How to Distinguish a Child’s Learning Style (Part 1)

Seeing children at an early age perform on stage with confidence may make you dream of them as your own. For you, they may definitely be such gifted kids, a child prodigy. And of course, as parents, we are guilty of hoping that our child is special in their own little ways.

Then you may start to wonder.

“How were these kids taken care of?”

“How did their parents provide them with their specific needs?”

“Did their parents spend all of their time just to support their children?”

And if sacrificing your time for your child is the case to ensure his or her level of giftedness, you will less likely achieve the same thing for your child especially when you know you are working and, at the same time, keeping an eye on them.

At Hilltop Children’s Center, the center reliable for utmost child care near Liberty Hill, TX, our preschool teachers do not just nurse your child but we also want you, as parents, know and understand who they are and what they can do so that you will be proud of what your child might accomplish.

Right from the start, we would like you to know the learning style of your child in order to understand him or her better. There are five areas that can affect how they learn and that you may have to consider these areas in order to be able to make the most out of their ability and preferences.

Children can be influenced environmentally, socially, physically, emotionally and psychologically.

Environmental Aspect

  • Does your child want a cool or a warm room for studying?
  • Is your child sensitive to noise or can he or she tolerate it?
  • Is a bright light preferred over a dim one when he or she studies or performs an assignment?
  • Does he or she like to sit on a chair and write on a table or prefer to stretch out and sit on your carpet while studying?
