Conscious Discipline® is an evidence-based behavior management program utilizing current brain research and developmentally appropriate practices to provide an array of strategies and classroom structures that teachers can use to turn everyday situations into learning opportunities. Created by Dr. Becky Bailey, an internationally renowned expert in child developmental psychology, Conscious Discipline® is built on the premise of developing discipline within children rather than applying discipline to them. The Conscious Discipline® process applies equally to parents, child care givers, educators, and patient caregivers.

Young children sometimes exhibit challenging behaviors such as aggression, hurtful words, or defiance. This happens because children haven’t yet learned the crucial social, emotional, language, and cognitive skills that lead to positive behavior. Our teachers use Conscious Disciple, by Dr. Becky Baily, to turn challenging behaviors into a learning opportunity and support positive behavior.

ConsciousDiscipline® is evidence-based and research-backed social and emotional learning based on four essential components scientifically and practically designed for success:

  • Conscious Discipline Brain State Model
  • Seven Powers for Conscious Adults
  • Creating the School Family
  • Seven Skills of Discipline

Conscious Discipline® teaches adults to control their own emotional responses to children so they can stay present in the moment, connect with the child, and then work thought the feelings the child having together.
