My name is Maria Mercado. I grew up in Austin, Texas along with my parents, two brothers and sister. I have a little girl named Alexis who is my pride and joy. We tend to spend as much time as we can together.
I was a stay at home mom until Alexis turned 3. After that, I started working at Hilltop with my daughter joining me as a student. It was a great experience being able to work, spend the majority of my time with her, and watch her interact with other children.
The more I have worked here, the more I have come to realize that this is the type of work I would love to do for years to come. I am working on getting my CDA, and soon, an Early Childhood degree.
My name is Shelby. I recently moved to Texas. I grew up in Illinois. I used to work as an assistant manager at Dairy Queen. I like to spend time with my husband and my two fur babies.
I knew I always wanted to work with children, so I applied at Hilltop and got the job. I have come to find out how I love to work with children. I plan to get my CDA and continue working with children.
